Staying safe on the road in warm weather

Longer daylight hours and a rise in temperatures mean an increase in the number of people using various modes of transportation on the roads.
Bicycles, motorcycles, roller blades, skateboards, scooters and pedestrian traffic are common sights during the spring and summer. That is why police want to remind us that we all need to slow down, look around and share the roads with each other.
Police say people operating vehicles need to be mindful of the "smaller" road users, making sure every movement they make can be done safely. All road users need to be mindful that the rules of the road should be followed - not just because they're the law, but because they save lives too.
